75 Unit Supportive Housing Project Tops Out in East Village

General contractor,

, has topped out the superstructure of a 13-story, supportive and affordable housing development, going up at 270 East 2nd Street in Manhattan's East Village neighborhood.

Developed by

 for non-profit organization, Barrier Free Living, and known as "Freedom Village", the building will contain apartments for homeless adults and survivors of domestic violence. Plans also call for 5,174 square feet of community facility space.

The building will have administration offices, support spaces, a community room, and upper-level outdoor recreation areas. Designed by

, the structure stands feet tall and totals square feet. Work is expected to complete by October of 2025.
