840 Lorimer Street Update 04/25/22

840 Lorimer Street Moves to City Council

An application for a 10-story, mixed-use development at 840 Lorimer Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn has just been voted on and approved by the City Planning Commission (CPC). It is now being reviewed by the City Council. The application was submitted by Zucker Enterprises LLC, and requests zoning map and text amendments. Developed by Equity Environmental Engineering, and designed by architect, Richard Bienenfeld, the building would have 74 residential units with some designated for affordable housing. It would also have around 31,000 square feet of commercial area, consisting of retail and office space.

Plans additionally call for a cellar and ground-level parking. The applicant owns approximately 15,000 square feet of land, but with the help of these amendments, land from three neighboring parcels would be combined to facilitate the development site.
