The City of Newton has received 9 expressions of interest in developing the land assemblage off Brandeis Road in Newton. The developers who responded to the city's RFQ include The Abbey Group, C Stumpo Development, Harbert South Bay Partners, John M. Corcoran & Co., MetroWest Collaborative Development, Northland Investment Corporation, NOW Communities, Pennrose, and Pulte Homes.
The City of Newton has agreed to purchase 15 acres of vacant land from Dr. Louis Slovik and Dr. David Slovik, whom listed the property for $24,000,000. The site - located off Brandeis Road - features 15 acres of wooded land and open space. The City is seeking a development partner for the site.
