The ribbon cutting ceremony took place and the Moxy Hotel has officially opened in EDGE Collective, the mixed-use development in downtown St. Petersburg’s Edge District. The 163-room Moxy Hotel on Central Avenue is the first phase of EDGE Collective. The hotel will include a rooftop pool, Sparrow, a restaurant and bar, as well as lobby bar, coffee shop and retail space is under construction. Edge Collective II will include approximately 360 luxury apartment units, amenities along with 45,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and 260 parking spaces.  The studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments will be contained in two buildings, a 20-story building on the corner of 1st Avenue South and 11th street, and a six-story building on Central Avenue. The commercial space will be on the ground floor of the two buildings and connected by a walkway. Two vacant buildings will be demolished to make way for Edge Collective II. The existing four-story 17,000 square foot building located next to the site of the Moxy will be refurbished and the two buildings will be joined by an outdoor garden and retail area. Completion of Edge Collective II is expected in 2026.
