Addgene leases space at LINX Watertown, building now over 50%-leased


The recently completed 185,000-square-foot LINX Watertown Class A office building has landed its' third life sciences tenant with Addgene's lease of 39,333 square feet, bringing the building to 56%-leased. Addgene, a locally-based nonprofit repository created to help scientists share information, joins C4 Therapeutics and Macrolide Pharmaceuticals at LINX and is the second life sciences company to relocate to LINX from Cambridge, C4 being the first, and the latest step in Watertown's emergence as a life sciences destination. LINX developer Boylston Properties is currently constructing Arsenal Yards, a $400 million mixed-use development located steps from LINX that will open in spring 2019 and feature 100,000 additional square feet of office space, as well as 350,000 square feet of retail and entertainment, approximately 425 residences and a 145-room Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton hotel.
