Affordable Housing Community Proposed in Pompano Beach
Developer The Related Group is looking to move forward with an affordable housing community in Pompano Beach. The site, a demolished Motel 6, was purchased by Broward County in July 2023, the county will consider gap financing and a ground lease for the project. Cross Creek Apartments in Pompano Beach will offer 467 residences, a mix of affordable housing units, workforce housing units and market rate apartments, along with 3,900 square feet of retail space. 327 of the residential units will be designated as affordable housing units for those earning 120 percent of the area median income (AMI), the remaining 140 would be market rate. Community amenities include a pool and the development will include 690 parking spaces.
