Affordable Housing Lottery Kicks Off for 130 Hope Street
NYC Housing Connect has started an affordable housing lottery encompassing 42 units within a 7-story, residential development, located at 130 Hope Street in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. Eligible applicants must earn between $100,252 and $215,150 annually, or sit at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). Applications will be accepted either online or by mail until May 16, 2023.
Developed by , the mixed-use building is set to contain rental apartments altogether, offered in studio, one, and two-bedroom configurations. In addition to residential space, it will feature square feet of boutique retail space.
Plans also call for several community gathering spaces, a co-working area, a fitness center, a bike storage room, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles. The structure will boast luxurious interiors, envisioned by Barcelona-based design firm, Bloomint.
Designed by , 130 Hope Street stands feet tall and totals square feet. Currently, the general contractor, , is working on interior finishing and electrical work. Construction is expected to wrap up in the coming months, and the building will likely open its doors sometime this spring.
