Affordable Housing Lottery Kicks Off for 509 3rd Avenue

NYC Housing Connect has started an affordable housing lottery encompassing 58 units within a 35-story, residential development, located at 509 3rd Avenue in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood. Eligible applicants must earn between $29,040 and $187,330 annually, or sit within 40 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). Applications will be accepted either online or by mail until June 26, 2023.

Developed by , the building is set to contain rental apartments, offered in studio, one, and two-bedroom configurations.

Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center, a rooftop terrace, a private event space, a media room, and a bicycle storage area. The residential portion will be supplemented by square feet of retail space, located on the ground floor.

Designed by , the structure stands feet tall and totals square feet. Work was originally estimated to finish by early to mid-2023, but this range has been pushed back and it will now complete sometime this fall. has chosen to oversee the tower's construction in-house, and is therefore serving as the general contractor as well.
