Affordable Housing Lottery Kicks Off for Casa Celina

NYC Housing Connect has started an affordable housing lottery encompassing 106 units within a 16-story, residential development, located at 1810 Watson Avenue (1001 Thieriot Avenue) in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx.

Eligible applicants must earn between $46,700 and $60,050 annually, or sit at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI). Applications will be accepted either online or by mail until June 30, 2023.

Developed jointly by Xenolith Partners, and ELH Management, the building will be called "Casa Celina". It will contain PRO affordable housing units for seniors and homeless adults. These will be available in studio and one-bedroom configurations.

Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center with an exercise room, a laundry room, lounge spaces on every floor, and a landscaped rooftop terrace. The second floor will also offer 1,700-square-feet of community space, accessible to NYCHA residents and the surrounding community.

Designed by  PRO, the structure will stand PRO feet tall and total PRO square feet.  PRO is serving as the general contractor for the project, and is work currently wrapping up.
