Aimco's Planned 60-story Edgewater Tower Rejected by Miami Board
Miami Urban Development Review Board voted Wednesday to reject Aimco's plans for a mixed-use development in Edgewater. Board members cited circulation issues on the ground floor as well as access issues for loading and trash collection. Board members did, however, compliment the overall design. Aimco plans to address the board's comments with the planning director.
The original plan for 640 Northeast 34th Street was to rise 650 feet and include 241 residential units, 4,696 square feet of commercial space, and a new 8-story parking garage for 380 vehicles.
