Akelius Acquires Barton House in Arlington
On 14 December 2021, Akelius acquired 214 apartments in Arlington, Virginia. The purchase price was just over $75M. Barton House was built in 1966 and contains a gym, a resident lounge, a courtyard, and a rooftop pool. The property also came with a piece of land that is leased to the city. The city allows residents to have communal gardens, which supports to grow local produce and contributes positively to the environment.
