Amazon Web Services Approved to Move into Fairfax County
Amazon has received permission to build a new data center near Dulles Airport. Notable because the tech Giant has not located a data center in the county, but as increasing cost per acre in London and Prince William Counties has driven driven them into their historically more expensive neighbor. Amazon bought the site for $55.9 million from Petula Prolix Development Co. LLC in 2021. The estimated cost to construct the new center is $33 million.
