An Early Peek Inside a Major Brooklyn Development
Brooklyn has seen an incredible construction boom in the last decade, and it doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. There are dozens of ongoing projects just in the Prospect Heights neighborhood alone, but perhaps none describe the concept of "highest and best use" like 595 Dean Street.
Designed by Handel Architects, the massive TF Cornerstone development will soon be home to two towers, containing approximately 800 residential units. Foundation work is nearly finished at the site, but concrete is still pumping as general contractor, TFC Pacific Park GC LLC, works to construct the 455-car, underground parking structure.
The towers will share a multilevel basement (as seen above), and 72,600 sqft. of open public space. The buildings will also share a new, 103,000 sqft. Chelsea Piers Field House. This will be the first of its kind in Brooklyn, and will contain a heath club and fitness center.
Once completed, the 29-story development will amass 921,290 sqft. with residential space totaling 743,380 sqft. As the neighboring LIRR yard implies, the property is located just a stones throw away from Atlantic Terminal in Downtown Brooklyn; a selling point that is bound to fill units quickly.
