Astoria Movie Studio Project Granted Approval
An application for the proposed, Wildflower Studios in Astoria, Queens has finally been given the green light by the NYC Mayor's Office. This marks the end of the zoning process for the project and the start of a new era for Astoria's movie production industry.
The ****** sqft studio is being developed by . Its design was created by the world-renowned architectural firm, , in partnership with Hollywood elites, Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal. Wildflower Studios will have 11 sound stages, with extra tall floors, and a multi-story entrance that can accommodate large trucks for production operations. If all goes to plan and construction proceeds without delays, the studio should open its doors sometime in 2023.
