Baldwin House Coop Wins Approval for Reno to Columbia Heights Property
The Baldwin House Cooperative Association has won approval for renovations to the property at 2570 Sherman Ave. NW which the group acquired in June 2023 for $2,500,000. The three-story building which currently contains 6 units and a medical clinic will be renovated to include 8 residential units total and a community service center on the ground floor. The community service center will consist of approximately 1,204 square feet, to serve low-income residents in the neighborhood and connect them to a variety of resources concerning housing, medical care, social services, and job training.
