1057 Atlantic Avenue Update 09/07/21

Bedford-Stuyvesant Mixed-Use Project Inches Towards Approval

A large mixed-use project proposed for 1045 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood is quickly moving through the regulatory process. The application submitted by Atlantic Brooklyn LLC requests zoning map and text amendments. It was reviewed and recommended by the Community Board back in July, and then by the Borough President in August with the same, positive results. It's now being reviewed by the City Planning Commission, which has 60 days to issue a recommendation to the City Council.

1045 Atlantic is being developed by Totem, and the building was designed by Dencityworks Architecture. At almost 480,000 sqft, it will contain 422 residential units (30% affordable), office space, and ground-floor retail space. It will have 17-stories and stand 175 feet tall.
