New York Life Insurance Company acquires Government Center office building for $64 million


Yesterday (September 6th, 2016), New York Life Insurance Company's real estate investment arm (New York Life Real Estate Investors) acquired One Bowdoin Square, an 11-story office building located in Government Center containing approximately 150,000 square feet of space, for just under $64 million as recorded in the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds; the exact sales figure is $63.835 million. The sale amounts to $428 per square foot. One Bowdoin Square last sold in October 2006 for $41 million and in March 1999 for $32 million. The building is currently used by Massachusetts General Hospital as an administrative building. The following is the deed for the sale of One Bowdoin Square to New York Life Insurance Company:
