J. Derenzo Companies breaks ground at 88 Ames Street


J. Derenzo Companies recently broke ground at 88 Ames Street in Kendall Square and has begun work on installation and improvement of sewage and utilities for the new 22-story mixed-use tower. The tower will contain approximately 280 rental apartments and 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Materials including manhole caps and pipes are staged at 88 Ames Street for upcoming installation. Work is also underway to reinforce the existing parking garage for construction of the adjacent tower. The garage will be partially demolished to make way for the tower.

A groundbreaking ceremony for 88 Ames Street was held on April 14th, 2016. A live webcam has been installed with a live stream of construction activity at 88 Ames Street. The following is a link to the live webcam.
