Boston East officially breaks ground
We had the honor and privilege of attending the official Boston East groundbreaking ceremony this past Thursday, May 19th. We would like to extend huge congratulations and thanks to Trinity Financial and East Boston Community Development Corporation on this important milestone. Boston East will enliven the East Boston Waterfront with public amenities including a Harborwalk, art galleries, historic interpretive exhibits and a boat launch in addition to 200 new residential units. Speakers at the Boston East groundbreaking ceremony included Trinity Financial Vice President Abby Goldenfarb, Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Martin J. Initial site work at Boston East has been underway since February. The six-story building’s sheet pile wall is complete. The sheet pile wall will reinforce the building’s foundation and one-story underground parking structure.

The Boston East building’s foundation is nearly fully dug, and final excavations are taking place.

The construction team is driving concrete piles at the foundation’s base to support the building.

Concrete will soon be poured along the base and sides of the foundation, enabling construction of the building’s superstructure.
