70 Franklin Street Update 10/19/16

Boston Business Journal moving to 70 Franklin Street

The Boston Business Journal (BBJ) announced Tuesday that it will move to a new 8,061 square foot office on the eighth floor of 70 Franklin Street in Downtown Crossing. The BBJ has been based out of the 12th floor of 160 Federal Street since 2006. 70 Franklin Street was acquired by Deka Group, a German real estate investor, in July 2016 for $42.1 million.

CBRE/New England’s Suzanne Brown and John Butterworth represented the BBJ in its’ office space search. “It’s in a great location,” says Brown, “it’s a nice cool boutique building, and it was a full-floor opportunity with a pretty square layout, so it was easier and more efficient for [the BBJ] to lay out in.” The BBJ’s new office is designed by architecture firm Dyer Brown.
