Excavation and foundation work underway at Avalon NorthPoint Phase Two
J. Derenzo Companies has nearly fully excavated the underground parking structure of Avalon NorthPoint Phase Two, a six-story residential building located steps away from the Lechmere rapid transit station. A total of three levels of underground parking will be excavated. Sheet pile walls reinforced by horizontally-mounted large diameter round steel beams are being used to support the excavated garage. A reinforced concrete foundation is being poured vertically along the garage’s perimeter to support the building’s substructure. Approximately 285 residential rental apartments and 3,000 square feet of retail space will be constructed at Avalon NorthPoint Phase Two. The following are photographs of Avalon NorthPoint Phase Two:
