J. Derenzo Companies demolishes former Circle Cinema building
J. Derenzo Companies' JDC Demolition division has just about fully demolished the former Circle Cinema building in Cleveland Circle:
The Applebee's restaurant building formerly located on site is completely demolished. All that remains of Circle Cinema is a single former screening room:
Circle Cinema contained seven screening rooms prior to demolition. Virtually the entire theater has been reduced to rubble:
The hollowed shell of Circle Cinema is visible from the neighboring ballpark:

The Circle Cinema site presents a unique transit-oriented location abutting an active rapid transit line and within walking distance to multiple public transportation options:
A new hotel building and senior housing building will be built on the Circle Cinema site. Anticipated project completion is in 2017. More information about the Circle Cinema Redevelopment project is posted below.
