Weatherproofing underway at East Boston's Boston East development
The 6-story Boston East superstructure on the East Boston Waterfront is being weatherproofed and prepared for installation of windows. Boston East’s north wing has topped off, and wood framing of the south wing has reached the third floor. Hardscaping has been installed at Boston East’s ground level for the public pedestrian atrium that will connect Border Street to the East Boston Waterfront. Opening this fall, Boston East will feature 200 apartment residences, a Harborwalk extension and public waterfront amenities including art galleries, historic exhibits and a boat launch.
