Approved 30-unit Charlestown project sells for $3.05 million


The 0.3-acre development site at 30 Polk Street in Charlestown, located steps to the Bunker Hill Monument and the Charlestown Waterfront, sold Thursday for $3.05 million as recorded in the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds. The Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) approved a 30-unit residential building for construction on the site in August 2013; a rendering of the building can be found above. The site's seller is developer Douglas MacDonald of Charlestown; the buyer is Helge Capital, a Quincy-based real estate investor headed by Oleg Uritsky.
