Bose leases space at Boston Landing’s 80 Guest Street spec office building

Audio equipment leader Bose Corporation has leased 98,000 square feet at the 80 Guest Street spec office building at the Boston Landing development in Brighton, bringing the building to nearly 100%-leased. Bose, headquartered in Framingham, MA, will open its’ Boston office in Summer 2018. “We are excited to welcome Bose, a global company that is headquartered locally and recognized for their technology and innovation, to Boston Landing,” said Jim Halliday, Managing Director at Boston Landing developer NB Development Group, in a prepared statement. “The Bose transaction brings our 80 Guest Street property to near 100% leased and puts its imprint on the transformative nature and innovative spirit that is Boston Landing as the western gateway into Boston.” McCall & Almy represented Bose in the transaction, with Transwestern representing NB Development Group.

Bose’s lease follows life science companies Proteostasis Therapeutics and Roche Diagnostics Operations’ leases of approximately 29,000 square feet each at 80 Guest Street in September 2017. Both companies will take occupancy of their spaces during the first half of 2018. 80 Guest Street is a 10-story, 486,000-square-foot building featuring 230,000 square feet of office and laboratory space space, 12,000 square feet of retail, three levels of parking and the 55,000-square-foot Warrior Ice Arena, home of the official practice facility of the Boston Bruins. Upon completion, the 15.2-acre Boston Landing development will feature three office and laboratory buildings, 80,000 square feet of retail, a 175-key hotel, a 295-unit residential apartment building, Warrior Ice Arena, The Auerbach Center (future basketball practice facility of The Boston Celtics), a track and field sports center, a commuter rail station and 1.4 acres of landscaped open space.
