The St. Regis Residences, Boston Update 10/02/18

Boston's First St. Regis Breaks Ground

Yesterday’s groundbreaking for the St. Regis Residences on Boston’s waterfront gave a glimpse into the luxury that residents will enjoy from one of the top luxury brands in the world. Guests to the groundbreaking were greeted by a string quartet and the Boston Police Galic Column and Drums bagpipe band. Instead of the ceremonial shoveling of dirt, the team opted for the sabering of champagne!

Jon Cronin, Founder of the Cronin Group, spoke about 12-year journey of the project and the importance of the site. He commended the late Howard Elkus on his visionary and beautiful design that mimics a billowing sail and will act as a gateway to Boston Harbor. The design is also on the cutting edge of climate resiliency with deployable flood barriers and other allowances for possible rising sea levels. The project will also provide for public waterfront access in an area where it does not currently exist.

Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito was on hand for the ceremony along with Congressman Stephen Lynch and Mayor Marty Walsh.  All spoke of The Cronin family's commitment to the City of Boston and Jon Cronin’s active participation in various local charities including his contribution to the Martin Richard Park, just a few blocks from the St. Regis.

The upcoming St. Regis Residences will feature 114 luxury condominiums ranging from one-bedroom units to penthouse homes.  All residents will have access to the brand’s renowned signature services and amenities, including concierge and butler service. The project will also feature a pool, spa, health club, library and golf simulation room.

The Cronin Group hopes to be cutting the ribbon on the luxurious waterfront residences in just under 2 years.
