Boston Seaport by WS Development To Launch a New Seaport Summer Market

Following the success of The Holiday Market at Snowport, Boston Seaport by WS Development and The Makers Show are partnering once more, this time to launch the inaugural Seaport Summer Market. Taking place on four summer weekends (May 13-15, June 10-12, July 8-10 and August 5-7), the Seaport Summer Market will be an open-air shopping destination celebrating local entrepreneurship, craftsmanship and art, and it will feature a rotating collection of over 60 vendors. Rounding out the experience will be a curated selection of dining options, and a pop-up from Boston Children’s Museum which will debut an extension of one of its exciting new exhibits during the Market’s June, July, and August weekends. Shoppers will be delighted by a mix of fashion, beauty, skincare, home décor, pet accessories, original artwork, packaged food, and more. Select vendors include Amisha Designs with hand-block printed linens and clothing made in small batches by artisans in Jaipur, India; Fort Point local J.S Dykes showcasing his original illustrations and fine art; a handmade accessory line for science lovers by The Science Boutique; GAF home featuring engraved home decor made in Needham; and BGM Apparel, a Black Girl Magic collection of headwear, apparel, and witty cards curated by Jae'da Turner, Founder of Black Owned Boston.

Returning makers from the popular Holiday Market include Melsy's Illustrations, with a selection of whimsical fashion illustrations; House of Art and Craft with clean, sustainable and handcrafted candles; the favorite 3 P's (plants, prints and puzzles) from The Happy Cactus; a curated selection of summer apparel by Tonya of B. Royal Boutique; and refreshing mixers from Simple Sips Fresh Cocktail Mixes. In between shopping, guests will be able to grab a bite from the market’s temping lineup of dining options, ranging from tacos and pierogis to waffles, baked goods and gelato, as well as beer and wine. A designated outdoor dining area complete with seating will include menus by Tuscan Kitchen, North East of the Border, The Fat Cactus, Naughty Waffle, and Jaju Pierogi. Further creating a space for the whole family to enjoy, the Seaport Summer Market will feature an exciting extension of Boston Children’s Museum’s brand new Dinos in Space exhibit – opening this summer. Dinos in Space will invite visitors to explore an imaginary universe that joins the wonder of Dinosaurs with the fascination of outer space. Fantastical and playful installations, murals and displays will inspire children and adults to experiment with their own creative expression.

The Seaport Summer Market will be free and open to the public. It will be open rain or shine on May 13–15, June 10–12, July 8–10, and August 5–7, from 11am–8pm each day during all four weekends of the series.
