BPDA Approves 401 Congress St.
The Boston Planning Board has approved the office/lab project proposed on Parcel A2 in the Seaport. The new building will include around 207,000 square feet of lab space along with 258,000 square feet of office. The Great hall at the base of the building will offer two floors of publicly accessible programmed space that connect the two levels of the Seaport. On the Triangle Parcel, the development will also create a low-rise 30,000 square foot programmable building that will fill an existing void in the public realm. BGI told the Board they hope to begin construction as early as summer 2021.
