Building Permits Issued for Jackson Health in Miami, Florida
A new construction and interior renovation permit have been issued for expansion project at Jackson Health in Miami. The expansion of the emergency department will consist of approximately 130,000 square feet and includes the construction of additional floors that will triple the size of the emergency department. The existing emergency room will be renovated to match the expansion. The expanded space will include 207 rooms, including 50 observation rooms and seven patient rooms. Two existing buildings will be demolished. The expansion will be completed in 2025 and the existing emergency department will be completed in 2027.
