The property at 243 Broadway Street in Cambridge, known as the "Close Building" has been acquired for $12.921 million.
The site features a 6 story, 61-unit 53,724 square-foot building that was constructed in 1910. The building is comprised of studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units. The Close Building is the former home of the George Close Company, a chocolate factory, whose principal, George Close, erected the brick building at 243 Broadway.
