Charlestown Staple Sells for $3.075 Million
The property at 25 Park Street in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston has sold for $3.075 million. The mixed-use building has been home to Ironside Grill, a popular watering hole for locals and Bruins alike for nearly 70 years.
Eric Aulenback of the Broadway Restaurant Group, responsible for bars like Loco, Lincoln, Capo, and newish Charlestown bar -- Monument, has purchased the property from the longtime owner, Denise Cantin.
A licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website indicates that the restaurant taking over the Ironside Grill space will be called Ironside Tavern, with Jon Sweeney being the manager; Sweeney comes from Monument Restaurant & Tavern.
