Chelmsford office building acquired for $12.4 million
Digital Federal Credit Union has acquired 297 Billerica Road, a three-story, 129,000-square-foot office building in Chelmsford formerly home to the headquarters of technology company Kronos, for $12.4 million. The sale amounts to about $96 per square foot. Kronos, who built the building in 1999, has moved its’ headquarters to approximately 500,000 square feet at the nearby Cross Point office towers in Lowell. 297 Billerica Avenue is situated along the Route 129 business corridor, home to several life sciences, defense and homeland security, communications and software industry companies. Digital Federal Credit Union will use the building as administrative space, accommodating its’ rapid growth. CBRE/New England represented Anchor Line Partners, acting on behalf of Kronos, in the sale, with R.W. Holmes Realty representing Digital Federal Credit Union.
