Congress Theater Redevelopment to Break Ground in Early 2025
After securing a Class L tax incentive for the Congress Theater in Logan Square, the developer has announced a timeline for the project, with a groundbreaking expected in early 2025 and completion by 2026. The $88 million rehabilitation and historic restoration of the 1926 venue will transform it into a 4,900-seat music venue, along with 16 affordable residential units. The project will also revitalize 13,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, divided into multiple storefronts, and include back-of-house and office spaces.
