Construction Begins for 19-Story LIC Rental Project

Subcontractor, ECD NY, has started excavation and drilling work for a 19-story residential project, set to rise at 43-14 Queens Street in Long Island City.

Developed and constructed in-house by , the building will contain rental apartments and square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The square foot project site spans what was previously 3-separate lots. To create the assemblage, Rockrose shelled out $26 million in 2019 to acquire 27-34 Jackson Avenue, and an additional $13 million in 2020 for the neighboring properties at 43-12 and 43-14 Queens Street. All of the occupying structures have since been demolished.

Designed by , the new development will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is estimated to finish by the Spring of 2025.
