121 West 125th Street Update 08/12/21

Construction Begins on Harlem Multi-Purpose Development

At 121 West 125th Street in Harlem, general contractor, Congress Builders is starting construction on a new mixed-use development. The 414,000 sqft building is being co-developed by Taconic Partners, BRP Companies, L+M Development Partners, and The Prusik Group. Beyer Blinder Belle is responsible for the 17-story structure's design.

A tower crane now stands on the site, which will soon be home to 90,000 sqft of retail, 75,000 sqft of Class-A office space, and 170 affordable housing units.

The building will notably contain new office headquarters for both the National Urban League and the Urban Civil Rights Museum Experience. Excavation began on the site last summer, and the project is expected to complete in mid-2023.
