Construction financing secured for 20-unit apartment development in East Boston’s Maverick Square
Maverick Shipyard Apartments, a 20-unit apartment development located at 202 Maverick Street in East Boston’s Maverick Square, is set to break ground following developer Newman Properties’ securing of $7.78 million in construction financing through East Boston Savings Bank. The development will be located steps from the East Boston Greenway, the MBTA Blue Line and the East Boston Waterfront, and will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, including two penthouses, as well as 20 underground parking spaces. Three apartments at the building will be designated affordable.
