Construction Underway on 1.4M SF Northland Newton Development
Construction is underway on the redevelopment of a 22-acre site in Newton off Oak Street as begins construction on the first residential buildings at Northland Newton. Approved in 2019, the project will create 1.1 million square feet of mixed-use space and feature 800 housing units (140 of which will be affordable), 180,000 square feet of office space, and 115,000 square feet of commercial space.
Plans also include 10 acres of open space including 8 new parks plus a mobility hub that will offer free electric shuttle service to the Newton Highlands MBTA Station.
