Crane in Place for New Volpe Transportation Center
A tower crane is in place for the new Volpe Transportation Center in Cambridge. The upcoming 400,000 square foot office building will consolidate 6 existing buildings and surface parking lots into one sustainable structure. The existing 375,000 square foot Volpe Center building will be demolished and then MIT will develop the remaining 10 acres of the parcel.
