Cymbal DLT Gains Approval for Mixed-Use Tower in Miami’s Midtown District
The Urban Development Review Board gave unanimous approval to the plans submitted by developer Cymbal DLT for a 36-story tower in Miami’s Midtown district utilizing Florida’s Live Local Act. The initial plans, which included a series of black-and-white bands making wave patterns on the podium and upper floors, faced opposition from the board. Architect Arquitectonica re-designed the building, removing the bands, and the re-submitted design received unanimous approval. Cymbal DLT Midtown will offer 598 apartments, with 240 designated for those earning 120 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). The development will also include 18,108 square feet of commercial space and 4,547 square feet of office space. The apartments will offer studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floorplans. Community amenities will include an eight-floor pool, fitness center, yoga studio, grilling area and pickleball courts.
