DC Court of Appeals Lifts Demo Stay for McMillan Redevelopment Project
The D.C. Court of Appeals has ruled to lift the stay barring demolition activities on the McMillan Sand Filtration Plant site. Plans for the development call for nearly 650 residential units, 860,000 square feet of medical office space, and a 52,000-square-foot Harris Teeter supermarket. The project has been plagued by legal challenges since the development team held a ceremonial groundbreaking in late 2016.
