DCHA Expects HQ Redevelopment Deal to Close This Fall

The Executive Director of the DCHA, Tyrone Garrett told the D.C. Council earlier this week they expect to close the $90M deal for the redevelopment of the HQ site this fall. The upcoming 1,200-unit mixed-use project on the 2.5 site will include 244 affordable units with at least half to be reserved for renters making 30% of the area median income or less, with the remaining set aside for 60% AMI or less along with a new 80,000-square-foot DCHA headquarters.
