Designs Revealed for 75 Broadway in Kendall Square

MITIMCo has filed design submissions for Building C3, 75 Broadway, & the Sixth Street Park within the Volpe Redevelopment project. The proposed 16-story, mixed-use building would feature 450,000 square feet total with roughly 10,000 square feet of ground floor retail and flexible lab and office space above. The ground floor retail and active use space is an integral component of the larger Volpe Development Plan and will help to keep the ground floor dynamic throughout the day, evening, and weekend.

As part of the project, the Sixth Street Park will also be created as a dynamic and inviting linear park that aims to welcome and provide programmed space for the surrounding community. An important component of the open space will be the selection of public art elements to be strategically located throughout the Volpe site. For the public art around 75 Broadway, the vision is to engage artists to create murals that will add color to the urban fabric, bring delight and joy to the pedestrian experience, and lend an identity to the public realm that will resonate with the community.
