Designs Revealed for Watertown Mall Transformation
Alexandria Real Estate has submitted a Master Plan Special Permit application for the Watertown Mall Transformation that provides additional renderings of the nearly 1M square foot project.
The Project introduces a transformational mixed-use development to include the integration of existing retail with the addition of new retail, office/laboratory (OL) buildings, a food and beverage amenity, a fitness/wellness amenity, and two parking structures, including one at 480 Arsenal Way. Existing buildings located at 446, 458, and 500 Arsenal Street and a portion of the existing mall (550 Arsenal Street), along with significant surface parking areas, will be removed to accommodate the development. Plans call for roughly 975,000 square feet of development across 8 buildings.
Plans have also been submitted for a 5-level parking garage at 480 Arsenal Way.
