Developer acquires development site in Dorchester's Lower Mills for $1.2 million


1110 Washington Street, a 0.27-acre development site located at the corner of Washington and Richmond Streets in Dorchester's Lower Mills neighborhood, has been acquired by a South Boston developer for $1.2 million. 1110 Washington Street last sold for $782,500 in June 2004 and is located steps from the Neponset River Greenway, the MBTA Red Line and multiple shops and restaurants. The site features a 2,589-square-foot former bank building built in 1871, a lawn and ample surface parking. Adjacent to 1110 Washington Street is 1120-1132 Washington Street, the site of a proposed 57-unit condominium development with 3,600 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. 1110 Washington Street's buyer, Peter Leoutsakos, is currently building 45 L Street, a 30-unit South Boston condominium building with approximately 1,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.
