Developer Lands $165.9M Loan for Kingsbridge Affordable Housing Project

The developer of a large, 8-story, residential project, set to rise at 160 Van Cortlandt Park South in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx, has landed a $165.9M construction loan from the NYC Housing Development Corporation.

Developed by TS Communities, the affordable housing platform of 

, the building will contain residential units. Approximately 285 of these units will be dedicated to affordable housing, with a further 53 units to be designated as supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals. Units will be offered in studio and one to three-bedroom configurations.

Plans also call for a cellar level and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for

vehicles. The building will be constructed to Enterprise Green sustainable design standards.

Designed by 

, with   to serve as the general contractor, the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is anticipated to finish in 2027.
