Developer Secures Loan for Apartment Building in Downtown St. Petersburg
REM Capital has obtained a $6 million loan for the construction of a 16-story apartment building that would rise along I-375 in the northern section of downtown St. Petersburg. REM Capital acquired the land for $3.45 million in August 2024. The building would be constructed on a 14,177 square foot vacant lot on 4th Avenue North, between 7th and 8th streets. The community would feature 135 apartments, with amenities on the 16th floor, and 70 car parking spaces, along with 145 bicycle parking spaces. The apartments will be micro-units, designed for short-term stays. A relationship may be established with St. Anthony’s Hospital to utilize the apartments for traveling healthcare professionals.
