Developer to Submit Revised Plans for Harbour Island Hotel
Tampa Developer Punit Shah of Liberty Group will submit a revised proposal to the Tampa City Council on Thursday, November 10 for an AC Hotel by Marriott on Harbour Island. The council rejected a proposal by the developer for the hotel on the site in May 2022. The revised plans call for a 10-story hotel with 150 rooms, smaller than the original property which would have been 12 stories with 150 rooms. The AC Hotel by Marriott would be within walking distance of downtown Tampa, Amalie Arena, the Tampa Convention Center, Sparkman’s Wharf and other downtown attractions.
