Developer Unveils Design of Phase 1 Buildings in Bunker Hill Redevelopment

The BPDA received updated design renderings for phase 1 development of the Bunker Hill Housing Complex. 

Corcoran Properties presented details on two buildings, F and M, as well as concepts for "pocket parks" across the development. Changes in the development design include a reduction of units from 3,200 to 2,699, a reduction in maximum development height from 22 stories to 10, an increase in open space from 1.95 acres to 2.83 to accommodate public "pocket parks", and new bike lanes on Medford, Bunker Hill, Concord and Tufts streets.

All 42 existing Bunker Hill housing buildings, dating to 1941, would be demolished and replaced with 16 new buildings consisting of apartment and duplex unit formats along with 2 parking garages and around 70,000 square feet of retail and community space.
