Developers Break Ground on 2.4M SF USQ Project in Somerville
US2 has broken ground on the USQ development in Union Square, Somerville with Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone in attendance. A multi-phase development, the project will be comprised of 60 percent commercial and 40 residential development in tandem with the opening of the MBTA Green Line extension to the square.
"None of this happened in Somerville by accident," said Mayor Curtatone at the groundbreaking. "It took the collaboration of these people, too many to name, to make this development finally happen."
Situated across 15.7-acres USQ calls for 2,400,000 SF of mixed-use space and will feature a mix of biotech, lab, office, residential, and retail space.
