Developers Request Approval to Build a Garage at The St. Regis Resort Longboat Key

The developers of the St. Regis Resort Longboat Key have changed plans and want to build a three-story garage on the site. The new plan will require approval from the city Planning and Zoning board and the Town Commission.  The matter will go before the zoning board as early as March 2023. The new garage would take the place of the planned mechanical lifts in the approved ground level garage under the hotel building. The new garage would be built on a surface parking lot and would increase the number of parking spaces from 100 to 157. Developers will continue with the previous plans if the new garage is not approved. Construction has been underway for over a year, the exterior of the hotel is nearly complete.
